Our Founder’s Story: A Lifelong Commitment to Wildlife and Safety
My love affair with wildlife began before I even knew what to call it. My parents used to laugh about the time I’d come home with garter snakes in hand, undeterred by their relentless bites. And then there were the days of wandering off and getting lost in to the dense, unforgiving woods of upstate New York with my buddy Bill, on the hunt for something scaly and slithering. People figured I’d grow out of it, that it was just a phase. But they were wrong. My obsession only deepened. Luckily for me, my parents didn’t just tolerate i but they fueled the fire. They helped me kickstart a wildlife rescue and rehab operation with them, where I learned the ropes from the only teachers that mattered—the animals themselves. My journey continued with wildlife education at Bear Mountain Zoo, where I taught schools and camps about the significance of wildlife, especially misunderstood creatures like snakes. Around the same time, I became involved with a wildlife organization that handled confiscated animals from Manhattan and NYC, including everything from 16-foot pythons to crocodiles, and occasionally venomous snakes..
From that point on I knew there was no turning back, I was hooked. Spitting Cobras, Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnakes, names like Boomslangs, Mambas and Taipans would take my passion into a life dedicated to study and eventually help these creatures.
What began in the woods of New York turned into a passport stamped with the marks of a world traveler. I found myself in jungles, deserts, and some of the most remote regions on Earth, helping organizations and research teams study these magnificent reptiles. Each new place offered a lesson in survival..both theirs as well as mine.
Eventually, I wanted to teach others what I’d learned in the field. So I did. From lecture halls to police agencies to the ranger station on Komodo Island, I’ve taught companies, government agencies, rangers and schools around the globe, showing them how to coexist with the creatures that most would rather avoid. The pinnacle of this journey came when I got certified in Australia, a land where everything seems designed to kill you very quickly, to remove and relocate the most venomous species on Earth. That’s where I spend my winters now, working with everything from taipans to death adders, creatures that command respect and offer no second chances.
It’s been a wild ride, literally, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. This life, shaped by the slithering and the venomous, has taken me to the far corners of the world, where I continue to learn, teach, and face down the absolute authority of nature’s deadliest.
Today, my passion has brought me to Phoenix, Arizona, where for the past 10 years, specialize in rattlesnake removal and snake control services. I continue to protect our native wildlife and educate others about these often-misunderstood creatures. Whether you're looking for Phoenix rattlesnake removal or snake removal services across Arizona, I'm dedicated to offering expert solutions for all your wildlife snake removal needs.
